The short version
BendWell collects nothing about you. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party code of any kind inside the app. Nothing you do in BendWell is sent anywhere, because the app does not contact the internet at all while you use it.
What stays on your phone
BendWell remembers a few things so it can work. All of it is stored on your device, by the app, and none of it is transmitted:
- Which sessions you have completed, and your streak.
- Which programme you are partway through.
- Your settings — the voice, the session length, how much to do, and anything you asked to leave out.
- Whether you have read the notice shown when you first open the app.
Deleting BendWell deletes all of it. We have no copy, because we were never sent one, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and nothing for us to hand over if asked.
What the app does not do
- No account, sign-in, or email address.
- No analytics or usage measurement of any kind.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking, and no sharing or selling of anything to anyone.
- No third-party SDKs — no social logins, no crash reporters, no marketing tools.
- No access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, calendar, or health data.
Reminders
If you switch on the daily reminder, BendWell asks your phone to show you a notification at the time you chose. It is scheduled by your phone, locally. No reminder is sent from a server, and there is no push notification token — so no one, including us, knows whether you were reminded or whether you practised.
Buying BendWell
The one-time purchase is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Your payment details go to Apple and never to us — we never see your card, your name, or your address. The app asks Apple a single question, "has this Apple Account bought BendWell?", and Apple answers yes or no.
Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction. Apple later shows us anonymous sales totals, which are counts of purchases by country; they do not identify anyone.
Children
BendWell is made for adults and is not directed at children. Since we collect no data at all, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect anything from a child.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no fonts, scripts, or images from anywhere else. Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, which include IP addresses, for a short period for security and reliability. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to see, correct, export, or delete the personal information a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request. Everything BendWell knows is on your own device, where you can see it in the app and remove it by deleting the app.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it, and the new version appears here. If a future version of BendWell were ever to collect anything, we would say so plainly and ask first — but the intent is that this page keeps saying what it says today.
