Common questions
How do I cancel?
There is nothing to cancel. BendWell is a single payment of $19.99, not a subscription — it does not renew, and it will not charge you again.
If you have looked in Settings on your iPhone for a subscription to stop and could not find one, that is why.
I paid before, on another phone. How do I get it back?
Open BendWell, go to Settings, tap See what's included, then tap Restore purchases. Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought it with and everything comes back.
Because it is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, it stays on your Apple Account permanently — there is no expiry to worry about.
I can't hear the voice.
Three things to check, in this order:
- The silent switch on the side of your iPhone. If it shows orange, flick it back.
- The volume. Press the upper volume button while a session is playing, so you are adjusting the right one.
- Bluetooth. If headphones or a speaker are connected somewhere else in the house, the sound is going there.
The voice is stored on your phone, so it is never a connection problem.
Can I lock the screen during a session?
Yes. Sessions keep playing with the screen off or the phone set down, so you can put it on a counter and listen. Many people use it on speakerphone across the room.
The text is too small.
BendWell follows your phone's own text size, including the accessibility sizes. On your iPhone open Settings ▸ Display & Brightness ▸ Text Size and drag the slider, and BendWell will grow with it.
For larger still, Settings ▸ Accessibility ▸ Display & Text Size ▸ Larger Text lets you turn it up further.
My daily reminder isn't arriving.
Check Settings ▸ Notifications ▸ BendWell on your iPhone and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Inside BendWell, the Daily reminder switch is in Settings.
BendWell will not remind you on a day you have already practised. If you moved this morning, no nudge arrives this evening — that is deliberate.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Every session, including all the voice coaching, is stored inside the app. Once BendWell is installed it works with no connection at all, on the free version as well as the paid one.
Is my daily session really free?
Yes, permanently. A new guided session every day, with the full voice coaching, with no account and no advertising. It is not a trial and it does not stop after a certain number of days.
Something hurt while I was doing a movement.
Stop, and skip the rest of that movement — there is a Skip this movement button on every screen. Every session ends with the same line for a reason: stop if anything hurts.
BendWell offers gentle movement, not medical advice. If something hurts beyond the moment, please speak to your doctor rather than working through it.
I'd like a refund.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and choose BendWell.
Do tell us what went wrong as well, if you have a moment — we would rather fix it.
Accessibility
BendWell is built for large text, high contrast, and VoiceOver, and the whole session can be followed by ear without looking at the screen. If something is hard to use, that is worth an email — this is the part of the app we most want to hear about.
